The best way to take action and get unstuck
A powerful analogy that will make you rethink everything
Hello friends π!
Hereβs one of my top 5 favorite quotes that motivate me to take action every day (I found it in the book The Science of Stuck by Britt Frank) :
βLife is like a game of chess. To win, you have to make a move.β
β Allan Rufus
When you feel overwhelmed, look for easy moves first.
You may feel stuck in one area of your life but find ease in another.
Make moves in the areas where you feel more at ease. Any action keeps you in the game and will then motivate you to work on the more difficult areas where you might feel stuck.
If this is still difficult, start small, like organizing a drawer, making your bed, or calling a friend. These victories build confidence and momentum.
Newton's first law reminds us: an object in motion stays in motion. Donβt underestimate how progress compounds rapidly once you begin.
But first, you have to make the first move.
So, what's your next move? π
